Owens Precision, Inc. utilizes the sophisticated technology of high speed CNC turning for the flexibility and superiority of its turning machining capabilities. The benefits of this process are readily apparent in the quality of the finished product. A CNC turning machine includes a number of tools with dedicated functions which are used one at a time to turn/machine a metal blank. Each tool is programmed by the CNC operator to work in succession for optimal production efficiency. Our knowledgeable programmers will determine the most efficient routing. In addition, the careful selection of tool bits (i.e., cobalt, carbide, etc.) is essential to the quality and speed of production.

Owens Precision, Inc. provides its technicians and operators with the finest in precision equipment to provide our customers with optimum product. Our turning centers feature state-of-the-art capabilities including back-working turrets and paired R-spindles to significantly speed up the cutting process operation. This makes available a much greater variation in simultaneous front-and-back processing combined with a Y-axis slide resulting in significant performance enhancements as well as increasing the speed of the cycle compared to conventional machines.

Our highly trained staff of technicians and operators has the experience to take your project from prototype to full market requirements. Our quality system stringently follows guidelines of ISO 9001. Our CNC Turning department works hand in hand with our Quality Department to assure adherence to guidelines of ISO 9001. In addition to Owens Precision's CNC Turning Department, our capabilities include all other services necessary to complete your project: CNC milling, CNC swiss automatics, complete finishing services, assembly and packaging.The Lathe Department's CNC Turning Centers include 29 individual CNC Lathes. The largest capacity at this time is 18" turning diameter x 32" centers.
