At Owens Precision, Inc. we operate the finest of Swiss automatics machines. Swiss type machine with powerful, blue chip cutting capability, swiss-turn features, high precision, and high efficiency. Additionally increased rigidity with double spindle structure yields high rigidity gang tool performance greatly enhancing precision. The Swiss machine configuration implementing the shortest loop of force between work piece and tool along with high rigidity tool slide and stable thermal characteristics enhances machining accuracy. Horizontally placed thermal-symmetry head stock and X axis ball screw minimizes thermal displacement that affects machining accuracy, thus enabling high precision machining and short cycle time. Precision is not just part of our name, it is what we do. Currently, we have seven Swiss style machines on the shop floor. With Swiss turning machines, multiple operations, including milling, gun drilling and thread whirling, can be accomplished. This equipment can hold tight tolerances; and their versatility minimizes or eliminates the need for secondary operations. Customers use our contract manufacturing services to produce some of the smallest and most complex parts for the medical, aerospace, and high tech industry. Our highly trained staff of technicians and operators has the experience to take your project from prototype to full market requirements. Our quality system stringently follows guidelines of ISO 9001. Our Swiss department works hand  in hand with our Quality Department to assure adherence to guidelines of ISO 9001.
In addition to Owens Precision's Swiss Department, our capabilities include all other services necessary to complete your project: CNC milling, CNC turning, complete finishing services, assembly and packaging.
The Swiss Department includes 3 multi-axis CNC turning centers. The largest capacity is 1 1/4 diameter with 9 axis' of control.
